I have been using Ger Minihan from Well4U for 1 year now and my body is all the better for it. I turned to Ger late last year so that he could help prepare my body to do an Ironman in Lanzarote in May 2017. I had suffered with an injury which put me out of doing the Dublin City Marathon in October 2016. I knew that if I wanted to get to the start line of an Ironman I needed to get somebody to work on my strength & conditioning. I had always been interested in knowing what Ger was doing with his clients so I decided to take the plunge and see if he could help me out. I will admit that one needs patience with his methods and you really have to buy into them. However, if you take the time to follow the programs he gives you, you will see the results. I am glad I decided to get the FMS testing done and work on the programs he gave as it meant I was able to get into the best shape of my life and to keep all injuries at bay with the exercises he assigned me. I was able to complete my 1st Ironman in Lanzarote (known as one of the hardest) very comfortably and my recovery afterward went smoothly. I can safely say that Ger was a big part of that journey. I done a nice session with Ger from Well4U based in Westpark fitness. He tested my FMS (Functional Movement Screen). A few weeks ago, it was suggested to me to get the FMS done to help correct muscular imbalances. Ger could assess my movement patterns by having me perform certain exercises. The good thing about the test was Ger could score my movement. I liked this because it gave me a challenge I instantly wanted to improve my score. Being a professional boxer the way my body moves should be on point to prevent any injuries occurring during training and throughout fights. Ger went through a program designed specifically to help me correct my imbalances. The exercises I’m doing I can already feel my body reacting and improving. With Ger’s vast experience and my drive to be the best I have no doubt Ger and Well4U will help me on my path.
